The Trouble with Religion and The Nazi Conscience

Religion for many is like eating Chinese food, one from Column A and 2 from Column B or even better a personalized combination platter. And it works for some of them because as Christians they can choose to exclude the notion of Hell; they can vote for a woman’s right to abortion, etc. As Jews we can elect to see Jews, not as the chosen people but as a people, who are bound to respect and honor other people’s traditions and legal rights.
