I know my feelings matter. Maybe the issue is that I don't have to tell you my feelings, and expect that you sympathize.

I know my feelings matter because feelings trump facts and I feel/think: that if we don't work through our emotions of rage and tenderness, we will have no empathy for ourselves, each other and our planet.

We all detach from too many things, sometimes we are too preoccupied and abused to focus on stuff outside us.

Too many revolutions, even, have fought for victory and liberation only to be counter-won by forces of the opposite sides. Too often when we don't work through our emotions we fling ourselves into other emotions we don't prepare for resistance.

My emotions are not the things I have to put up in front of me to excuse my behavior or myself in your eyes. They are things I have to study so my words and my actions are sturdy and not flighty, sturdy with meaning and with stamina.
